Neuracell

We are a not-for-profit core facility that engages in research projects, production of high-quality stem cell lines and derivatives, and other services. Our group has over 20 years of experience working with diverse stem cells, including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), neural progenitor cells (NPCs), Schwann cells, adult retinal pigment epithelial cells (RPE), and everything you need to grow them. We produce forebrain and midbrain organoids, which are the emerging platforms for 3D tissue neural modeling. Our research covers tau pathology and age-related macular degeneration modeling for neurodegenerative diseases. In addition to cells, organoids, and media, we also provide a range of molecular tools and services including custom lentiviral shRNA and over-expression vectors, single cell sequencing, flow cytometry-fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), and drug screening assays.

Services include:
• Patient iPSC lines (https://www.neuralsci.org/tau/human-ipsc-lines ) available for age- related macular degeneration and tauopathy research
• Directed differentiation: neural progenitor cells, retinal pigment epithelium cells, forebrain and midbrain organoids
• Optimized culture media
• Generation of custom lentiviral shRNA and overexpression constructs
• Training in iPSC and neural stem cell culture
